    Children age 10 years and older can participate in Discover Scuba Diving. For children that are 8 years and older, they can also participate in the PADI Bubblemaker.
  • Do I need any prior scuba diving experience to join the Discover Scuba Diving Program?
    No prior experience is required. The program is specifically designed for individuals without any scuba diving certification.
  • How do I progress in my scuba diving after completing my Discover Scuba Diving?
    If you had a great time during your Discover Scuba Dive, your next step would be to do the PADI Open Water Course. This certifies you to go independently diving to 18 meters (Junior Open Water 12 meters). The course takes 3-4 days. You will start with the confined skills which take place in a swimming pool and move on to open water skills.
  • How long does the Discover Scuba Diving experience take?
    The entire experience can vary but generally takes a few hours. This includes a briefing, equipment familiarization, pool session, and an open water dive.

    You can start the PADI Junior Open Water Course at 10 years old. Once the child turns 15 they will have the adult Open Water Certificate – no extra training required.
  • Do I need to know how to swim to start the course?
    A: Yes, in order to scuba dive with Chloe Blue Scuba, you must know how to swim. While you don't need to be a professional swimmer, it is necessary to have basic swimming skills for safety reasons. Being comfortable in the water, knowing how to float, tread water, and swim short distances will ensure a safer and more enjoyable scuba diving experience. Having basic swimming skills will also allow you to navigate underwater more confidently and effectively. If you are not a confident swimmer, we recommend taking swimming lessons before attempting to scuba dive. Additionally, we offer beginner swimming classes for those looking to improve their swimming skills before getting certified to scuba dive with us. Our priority is the safety and enjoyment of our customers, and having basic swimming abilities is crucial to achieving that.
  • How long will the PADI Course Take?
    At Chloe Blue Scuba, the PADI Open Water Diver course typically takes about 3-4 days to complete.   • What is the structure of the PADI Open Water Course?
    The PADI Open Water Course at Chloe Blue Scuba is designed to give you the foundational skills and knowledge you need to become a certified scuba diver. The course consists of three main components: knowledge development, confined water dives, and open water dives. During the knowledge development portion, you will learn about the principles and procedures necessary for safe and enjoyable scuba diving. This may be completed through self-study using the PADI eLearning platform, or through instructor-led classroom sessions at our dive center. The confined water dives take place in a shallow, controlled environment such as a pool, where you will practice essential scuba skills under the guidance of our experienced instructors. Here, you will become familiar with your scuba equipment, learn key techniques for underwater navigation, buoyancy control, and emergency procedures. Finally, the open water dives will give you the opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge you've acquired in real dive situations. You will complete a series of four open water dives, usually conducted over two days and reaching a depth of 18 meters (60 feet). These dives will allow you to explore and experience the underwater world in a supervised and supportive environment. Upon successful completion of the PADI Open Water Course at Chloe Blue Scuba, you will be certified to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 meters. This certification is recognized worldwide and is your ticket to start exploring the wonders of the underwater realm.
  • What do I gain my completing my PADI Advanced Open Water Course?
    You’ll gain more knowledge into scuba diving and be able to go to new depths (Junior 10-14 years 21 meters / 15 years and older up to 30 meters). The great thing about the PADI Advanced Scuba Diving course is that you can explore more dive sites, improve your buoyancy, and become more confident in the sport.
  • Are there any requirements to start the course?
    You will need to have completed the PADI Open Water Course (or equivalent certificate from another organisation body). A medical form will also need to be completed before the course starts.
  • How deep can I go after being certified with my PADI Advanced Open Water?
    Junior 10-14 years – maximum 21 meters 15 years and older – maximum 30 meters
  • How long does the course take?
    The course takes two days to complete. You will need to complete five adventure dives which can be done over two days - these two days do not need to be consecutive.
  • How much time does the PADI eLearning take?
    The eLearning will take approx. 5 hours to complete or over a few evenings! The eLearning is not as in-depth as the PADI Open Water Course and there is no exam at the end. You'll just need to complete the knowledge reviews from the adventure dives that you'll be participating in.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    You will need to bring a swimming costume, towel and water bottle. Depending on which adventure dives you choose, we’d recommend that you purchase a dive torch, compass and dive knife. You are able to rent these items or we can offer a 15% discount at the Scuba Pro shop in Jumeirah.
  • Will my child be in the sea?
    The PADI Bubblemaker and the PADI SEAL Team are conducted in the swimming pool only. The Junior PADI Open Water and continued education will be conducted in the swimming pool and the sea.
  • What’s the maximum depth my child will go?
    PADI Bubblemaker: Maximum 2 meters PADI SEAL Team: Maximum 4 meters PADI Junior Open Water Divers: 10 – 11 years are restricted to diving with a parent, guardian or PADI Professional to 12 meters. 12 – 14 years must dive with an adult certified diver to 18 meters PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Divers: 15 years or older – 30 meters
  • Is there a minimum age?
    Yes, children 8 years or older can participate in scuba diving. Any younger and there is a risk the child’s lungs won’t be fully developed and this may cause physical health problems when scuba diving.
  • What does my child need to bring with them?
    Sunscreen, towel, water bottle, change of clothes and swimming costume
  • Is my child ready to start scuba diving?
    Every child is different and they all grow up at different stages. If your child seems keen to learn, confident in the water and ready to discover a whole new world, they are probably ready! If they are not confident yet in the water, wait until they are older. We encourage parents to make their own judgement into whether the child is ready or not.
  • Can I stay whilst the lesson is taking place?
    Absolutely! However, please resist from interrupting the class as the child needs to listen carefully to the qualified PADI Instructor along with building trust.
  • How long will the programme take?
    PADI Bubblemaker – 2-3 hours PADI SEAL Team – A full day or over two mornings PADI Junior Open Water – Approx. 4 days PADI Advanced Open Water – Approx. 2 days
  • What’s the difference between the PADI Divemaster and the PADI Master Diver Programmes?
    The PADI Divemaster is a professional certification that certifies you to lead dives and conduct a few courses. The PADI Master Diver gives you an elite status of being an experienced diver.
  • How many logged dives do I need to start the PADI Divemaster?
    To start the course you will need 40 logged dives. At the end of the course you will have need to have logged 60 dives or more.
  • What equipment do I need to start my PADI Divemaster?
    As this is the first step to becoming a professional diver, we recommend that you invest in the following: BCD Regulator Compass Dive Computer Underwater Slate Surface Marker Buoy Dive Knife Reel You are able to rent equipment at additional cost, please inquire for more information.     Yes, you’ll need to have a PADI medical form signed-off within the last 12 months. We’d recommend going to Dubai London Clinic as they have Doctors specialising in Diving.

    It depends on the health issue. Some medical conditions, such as asthma or heart disease, may prevent you from scuba diving. You will need to fill out a medical questionnaire and may need to get a physician's approval before diving.
  • What equipment do I need to go scuba diving?
    You will need a scuba diving mask, fins, a wetsuit, a buoyancy control device (BCD), a regulator, a tank, and weights. If you're doing a course with us, the equipment will be included in the cost. For our scuba diving trips, you're able to rent equipment from us for 65AED.
  • What should I expect during scuba diving lessons?
    Scuba diving lessons typically involve online eLearning theory and practical sessions in a pool or open water. You will learn about the equipment, safety procedures, and techniques for diving. You will also learn how to communicate underwater, how to navigate, and how to control your buoyancy.
  • Is scuba diving safe?
    Scuba diving can be safe as long as you follow the safety guidelines and procedures. It is important to always dive with a buddy, follow the dive plan, and not exceed your training and experience level.
  • Do I need to be certified to go scuba diving?
    Yes and No. You can do a taster programme which does not certify you to dive on your own without an instructor present. To go independently scuba diving you need a certification. There are various scuba diving certification organizations, such as PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) that Chloe Blue Diving Club offers.   • Do I need to buy any equipment before starting the course?
    We encourage you to invest in a pocket mask for in-water resuscitation and a first aid kit.
  • Is there a minimum numbers of dives needed before starting the course?
    No. You will have just needed to complete your PADI Advanced Open Water certification and be over 12 years old.
  • What else do I need to bring with me?
    A swimming costume, towel, sunscreen and water bottle.
  • Is CPR training required for Rescue certification?
    Yes, you’ll have needed to have completed this in the last 24 months or you can include this as part of your PADI Rescue Course

    12 years old. 12-14 year old divers may earn the Junior Rescue Diver certification.
